France international to 'reject' Manchester United move and more transfer rumours

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly 'preparing to reject' a summer move to Manchester United in favour of joining Bayern Munich.

That is according to a report by Sport1, as cited by SportsMole, who claim that the Frenchman will 'turn down' advances from United to join the German heavyweights instead. United are going to prioritise the addition of a new striker this forthcoming summer after consistently struggling to score goals at a rapid rate of knots this season.

United have been too reliant on Marcus Rashford's contributions in the final third and desperately need to add firepower to their ranks this summer. They have scored just 51 Premier League goals this season, making them the lowest scorers inside the current top seven.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News back in March, United are keeping tabs on Kolo Muani, 24, and believe he could be an option worth exploring this summer. The striker, who is under contract at Frankfurt until the summer of 2027, has been in sensational form this season, scoring 22 goals and registering 15 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.

However, any hopes United might have of turning to the former Nantes ace could soon be quashed, as it is claimed that Kolo Muani would prefer to join Bayern over the Reds. The German club are, like United, reportedly on the hunt for a big-name striker ahead of the summer.

Meanwhile, United are said to be 'interested' in signing Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan. That is according to a report by The Sun, who claim that the Reds have been watching the Norwegian for 'around a year.'

The 16-year-old is considered as one of the most exciting prospects in Scandinavian football and United are trying to 'get ahead of their rivals' in the battle for his signature. Despite not turning 17 until December, the youngster announced his arrival in his first-team football last weekend by scoring in a 3-2 defeat to FK Bodo/Glimt.

The report claims United followed Nypan's progress during the winter months when he played for his country's youth side in a tournament in Spain. They have reportedly since kept tabs on his development and are now keen to lure him to Old Trafford.
