Northern Ireland football stars Steven Davis and Stuart Dallas have joined the push to get Carl Frampton's proposed world title showdown with Jamel Herring at Windsor Park.
Frampton is expected to take on Herring for the American's WBO super-featherweight strap later this year.
The clash was initially earmarked for the SSE Arena but recent reports have indicated that the huge fight could happen at Windsor Park.
The Irish FA has been remaining tight-lipped on The National Stadium being used for the show, despite some reports suggesting it will happen at the South Belfast venue on June 13.
Three-time Olympic boxer Paddy Barnes tweeted on Wednesday morning that the fight would "sell out Windsor easy".
He also said many fans would be robbed of "witnessing history being made" if it was held in the smaller capacity SSE, formerly know as the Odyssey Arena.
Frampton could become Ireland's first-ever three-weight world champion if he beats Herring at super-feather.
Barnes said: "Frampton vs Herring sells out Windsor easy. Doesn't it? Imagine the 1000s that would miss witnessing history being made, 3 weight world champ, if it was put in the Odyssey."
And Northern Ireland footballer Dallas agrees.
The Leeds United man replied: "Surely it can’t be put in the Odyssey. It would sell out Windsor twice over."
Northern Ireland skipper Davis then tweeted: "Got to make the @RealCFrampton v @JamelHerring fight happen at Windsor. Need to let as many fans witness another great sporting event live in Belfast as possible."
Frampton fought Luke Jackson at a rain-soaked Windsor back in the summer of 2018, on a bill which also featured Tyson Fury.
Sean said on Twitter: "Options should be looked at outside off both.. Ravenhill also an option... Windsor didn't really work."
Another fan added: "Odyssey makes no sense at all."
It is hoped the fight will be confirmed in the coming weeks, including a date and venue.
