A relatively "young" fragrance family by Dior, J'Adore was created in 1999, though with a number of variations released within two decades.
The 2018 sequel, J'Adore InJoy, was recently launched in Bangkok at Siam Paragon's Hall of Fame, with the event also recapping on four other fragrances symbolising sophisticated and glamorous femininity.
J'Adore muses -- Sonia Couling, Sittharmanin Susamawathanakun, Nana Rybena, Ingfah Damrongchaitham and Kimberley Anne Tiamsiri -- discussed on stage how they're a best fit in representing the personality of L'Or, L'Absolu, Eau De Parfum, Eau De Toilette and InJoy.
Kimberly -- the female lead in the Kom Faek action drama aired on Channel 3 -- shares the sparkling personality with J'Adore InJoy created by Dior perfumer-creator, François Demachy, for literally a smell of joy.
The floral-fruity-salty fragrance opens with a refreshing Fleur de Sel, followed by heart notes of Madagascan ylang-ylang essence and Jasmine Sambac and rounds up with a juicy peach note.
To harmonise with the Fleur de Sel, the ylang-ylang essence is specifically sourced from the island of Nosy Be off Madagascar's northwestern coast, in order to truly obtain a floral scent yet with a salty hint from the Indian Ocean.
On the other hand, ylang-ylang essence from the Comoros archipelago is used as an opening note of the floral Eau de Parfum with a heart of Damascena rose essence and base notes of Indian Jasmine Sambac and Jasmine Grandiflorum from Grasse.
In contrast, Grasse jasmine nuanced with almond, mango and banana notes gives a floral-fruity first impression of J'Adore L'Or before unfolding its full-bodied May rose heart and sweet and spicy vanilla base.
Damascena rose also appears as a base note and an opening note respectively in the Eau De Toilette and L'Absolu.
All five J'Adore fragrances come in an iconic glass bottle, which is a modern interpretation of the amphora used by Christian Dior for his first perfumes.
