The Oklahoma City Thunder made news this week when the club officially announced the signing of free agent Markieff Morris to a contract after it was reported the week prior the two sides agreed to a deal.
The team did not sign Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton, however.
Fox Sports North provided the news of the signing to its viewers a few days ago but, as pointed out on Reddit, the network mistakenly used a picture of Ayton instead of Morris.
The error by FS North was an obvious mistake and some even pointed out on Reddit that the graphic was to illustrate news from around the NBA, yet opted to include Duke’s Zion Williamson. The network likely included Williamson presumably because the freshman is projected to be a top-five draft pick this year.
In any case, the Thunder are set at the center position at the moment with Steven Adams on the roster so the team will likely not be in the market for a big man in the foreseeable future.
