It sounds like something from a fairytale, but these happy fox cubs were actually caught bouncing around on a family's trampoline.
Martin Greenhalgh had a security alert on his CCTV system after the motion-sensor cameras picked up movement in his back garden.
And the 51-year-old, from Whitchurch , Cardiff, was left stunned when he opened up the picture and saw four cubs jumping playfully on their trampoline.
"I looked at the camera and it was just amazing to see them there in the middle of the night," dad-of-one Martin said.
"It was just like the John Lewis advert when the fox jumps on the trampoline - now I see where they got the idea from."
IT worker Martin said the trampoline is usually used by his 17-year-old daughter Lucy.
He said: "Ironically Lucy is away at the moment on a trampoline holiday with her club - the Cardiff Flyers - in Portugal, so it's nice to see the trampoline was still getting some use.
"I have seen one adult fox in the garden at dusk before but never anything like this. You know they're around but you never expect to see them."
The 2016 John Lewis Christmas advert shows a father rigging up a new trampoline for his daughter Bridget's present.

In the ad, family pet Buster the Bulldog watches jealously as foxes and other garden animals bounce around on the trampoline.
When the trampoline is revealed on Christmas morning Buster rushes past Bridget and jumps on as high as he can.
The advert - which cost £7million to make - has since racked up more than 1.1million views on the official John Lewis YouTube page.
