Fowler vs. Rose could head to Liverpool after Manchester cancellation

ANTHONY FOWLER and Thomas Hart will have to wait before they fight again.

The Scouse duo had been set to box on the same card on July 6.

Fowler, who stepped in for former foe Scott Fitzgerald, was scheduled to meet former WBO super-welterweight world title challenger Brian Rose at Manchester Arena, with ex-Team GB light-heavyweight Hart also meant to feature on the card.

But the whole bill, which was set to be screened exclusively live in the UK on Sky Sports and Stateside on DAZN, has been cancelled after injury to Jack Massey meant that he was out of his fight.

Massey was meant to challenge British and Commonwealth cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie on the bill, with Felix Cash already out of his Commonwealth middleweight title defence against Jack Cullen.

But Okolie will now defend his titles at the O2 Arena in London on July 20, exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office and DAZN.
And promoter Eddie Hearn is planning on putting Fowler’s clash against Rose on a JDNXTGEN card at the Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on August 2, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and Stateside on DAZN.

Further details will be revealed in due course regarding the card in Liverpool and the destination and date of Hart’s next fight.
