A fourth suspect in the Stephen Maguire murder probe was named by police on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old was killed at his home on Guildford Road, in Birkdale, shortly before midnight on March 22.
A post-mortem examination confirmed he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
On Tuesday, officers confirmed that they had arrested a fourth man in connection with the murder after three others were arrested and charged back in May.
A 34-year-old man, from Liverpool, was later charged and appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon.
Patrick Moogan was charged with the murder of Mr Maguire, kidnap, robbery and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Merseyside Police can confirm a fourth man has been charged in connection with the murder of Stephen Maguire.
"Patrick Moogan, 34 years of no fixed abode, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court this afternoon, Wednesday 23 September, charged with murder, kidnap, robbery and possession of a firearm and ammunition.

"Stephen died after emergency services were called to an address in Guildford Road shortly after 11.35pm on Monday 16 March to reports that a man had been shot. .
"In May, three men were arrested and charged in connection with the murder."
