A fourth King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) plane loaded with aid landed in Beirut on Sunday as part of a relief air bridge that was set up to help the people in wake of the devastating Beirut blast.
The plane, that departed from King Khalid International Airport and landed later in the day at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut, carried 90 tons of emergency aid, including medicines, burn treatment devices, medical solutions and masks, gloves and sterilizers, food baskets, flour and dates, in addition to tents, blankets, mattresses, and cooking utensils.
Thus, the total amount of aid delivered through the Saudi air bridge since its launch until today becomes 290 tons, transported via four airplanes.
This aid was provided based on a study of the necessary humanitarian needs resulting from the Beirut port explosion, in coordination with the Saudi Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Beirut, and the KSRelief branch in Lebanon.
The air bridge was establishment at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to provide urgent humanitarian to Lebanon.
This comes as an extension of the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to show solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people and provide relief to those affected by this dire disaster.
