A fourth person has faced court in Victoria charged with the murder of Ballarat mother Kobie Parfitt.

Renee Bridget Reynolds, 31, appeared before Ballarat Magistrates Court on Friday morning.

Ms Parfitt, 43, was last seen alive in Ballarat in April last year.

Human remains were found down a mine shaft in Snake Valley on December 22 by officers searching the area in relation to the mother's disappearance.

Reynolds has been remanded into custody and is due to return to court on May 6.

Her arrest follows the arrests of Brendon Prestage, 31, Shannon Jeffrey, 32, and a 35-year-old man.

All four are accused of murdering Ms Parfitt on April 28.
