Fourth oxygen express reaches Kerala

The fourth train that reached Palakkad in Kerala at 2 p.m. carried 133.52 metric tonnes of LMO in seven containers.

One more oxygen express train reached Kerala on Tuesday with seven containers of liquid medical oxygen (LMO). The train started from SAIL Steel Plant, Rourkela, Odisha, at 7.20 a.m. on Monday, and reached Palakkad Junction at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The train crew changed at Palakkad Junction. The oxygen express reached the Vallarpadam container terminal in Kochi at 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

It is the fourth oxygen express reaching the State. The train carried 133.52 metric tonnes of LMO in seven containers. As much as 513.72 metric tonnes of LMO has been brought to Kerala using four oxygen express trains so far.

When the first train brought 117.9 metric tonnes of LMO on May 16, the second train brought 128.67 metric tonnes of LMO on May 22, and the third 133.64 metric tonnes of LMO on May 27. All the rakes were offloaded at the Vallarpadam terminal.
