Fourth man charged following death of Joe O'Brien in Failsworth

A fourth man has been charged in connection with the death of Joe O'Brien.

Joe, 24, died after being stabbed during a large brawl outside the Royal Oak Hotel, on Oldham Road, in Failsworth, on Sunday, April 21, this year.

Another man, who was 21 at the time, was also stabbed.

Sean Mhango, 20, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder.

He has also been charged with section 18 assault, possession of a bladed article and violent disorder.

Mhango has been remanded and will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on Friday, September 13.

Two other men and a teenager have also been charged with murder.

Daniel Kamara, 22, of Beswick Driver, Failsworth and Momodou Jallow, 21, of Ashley Lane, Moston, are due to go on trial at Liverpool Crown Court on October 14, 2019.

A 17-year-old boy, from Failsworth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also due to go on trial next month.
