Four-year-old rushed to hospital after being hit by car outside Fife primary school

A four-year-old has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car outside of a Scots primary school this morning.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Broad Street, Cowdenbeath, at 9.15am this morning after reports of a crash involving a child pedestrian.

Ambulance crews attended the incident and rushed the four-year-old child to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

The extent of their injuries are not yet known.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers attended a crash involving a four-year-old pedestrian and a car a Broad Street in Cowdenbeath at 9.15am on Monday 14 June.

'He was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment."
