Four-year-old gets lost and then scores a try in rugby league charity match in Australia

()

Most young rugby fans dream of the big league, knowing that the possibility of playing alongside their heroes is something they may never experience.

Yet one young boy had his dreams realised early on, at the tender age of just four years old.

Video from Australia shows the moment a young boy lost his mother during a rugby league charity game and inadvertently found himself on the pitch. The surprise addition of an incredibly short and young player did not phase the New South Wales or Queensland legends, who gave their ball to the boy and urged him to run the length of the pitch to score a try.

However, as the boy neared the end of the pitch, he began to tire. Rather endearingly, a NSW player picked up the four-year-old and carried him over the line.

Watch out Greg Inglis.
