Four-year-old boy donates all his money to teacher with cancer

A four-year-old boy from Florida has emptied his piggy bank and donated all of his money to his teacher in order to help pay for her chemotherapy treatments.

Camden Hand, who attends Good Samaritan Academy in Tallahassee, was told that his teacher Betty Payne needed money to pay for chemotherapy after she was diagnosed with lung cancer three weeks ago, reports WCTV news.

Chemotherapy can cost up to $700 a session; the school and parents have both been raising money to help Ms Payne.

Ms Payne was in a chemotherapy session when she received a photograph of Camden holding a ziplock bag full of money, and the news that he would be donating the money.

She told WCTV “I couldn’t do nothing but cry, to be honest… It’s just a feeling that I can’t explain. I just cried.”

The total sum of Camden’s donation was $105.15, and the school is still accepting donations to help with Ms Payne’s treatment.
