Four women and one man arrested after alleged Swansea assault which left 21-year-old seriously hurt

Five people have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault after a man was found with serious head injuries in Swansea .

The 21-year-old was found in Portland Street by members of the public at around 1.55am on Sunday, October 14.

He is thought to have walked from the direction of Castle Gardens and along Oxford Street before being discovered.

The man was taken by ambulance to Morriston Hospital, and has since been transferred to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, where he is now said to be in a stable condition.

The four women and one man arrested by police remain in custody.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "Anyone who witnessed any altercation or anything suspicious is also urged to come forward.

"Please contact 101, quoting occurrence 1900378414."
