Four Trafford Centre restaurants forced to temporarily shut following visit from food hygiene inspectors

Four restaurants in the Trafford Centre have been forced to temporarily close following a visit by food hygiene inspectors.

Chaobaby, Zizzi’s, Tru Street and Yang Sing have all be shut after concerns were raised during a routine inspection.

Bosses at the shopping centre said they are working with 'relevant parties' for a 'speedy resolution'.

They said healthy and safety is 'naturally a priority'.

A spokesman at Trafford Council confirmed they are working with the businesses to ensure they are able to reopen 'as soon as possible'.

The inspections took place between Wednesday (October 23) and Friday (October 25).

A spokeswoman for the Trafford Centre said: "Following a routine inspection by the Environmental Health Office, concerns were raised which has led to the closure of food retail units at intu Trafford Centre - Chaobaby, Zizzi’s, Tru Street and Yang Sing.

"We are working closely with all relevant parties for a speedy resolution.

"As a responsible business, health and safety is naturally a priority for us and we work closely with the relevant authorities to abide to the most stringent regulations."

A spokesman for Trafford Council said: "Trafford Council’s Environmental Health Officers conducted a number of food hygiene inspections of restaurants at the intu Trafford Centre from October 23 to 25.

“Following these inspections the owners of four businesses agreed to temporarily close their restaurants while they addressed food hygiene issues that were identified.

“The council’s officers are continuing to work closely with those businesses to ensure that they are all able to re-open as soon as possible.”
