Queensland police have charged four more teenage boys with murder over the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Jack Beasley in Surfers Paradise on Friday night.
Police said two groups of people became involved in a fight around 8:10pm on Surfers Paradise Boulevard last Friday.
During the fight, two 17-year-olds from one group were allegedly stabbed in the chest.
Jack Beasley, from the Gold Coast suburb of Parkwood, died from his injuries.
His friend from Pacific Pines is still recovering in Gold Coast University Hospital.
A 15-year-old Waterford boy was charged with murder soon after the death and he appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.
Today, police also charged an 18-year-old man from the Ipswich suburb of North Booval, a 17-year-old boy from the Logan suburb of Kingston, a 16-year-old boy from Woodridge and a 16-year-old boy from Waterford with murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
They were all due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court and the Beenleigh Children's Court today.
The victim's father Brett Beasley expressed his sadness over the death of his son on Facebook.
"It is with heavy heart that we say goodbye to our baby boy," Mr Beasley said.
"Jack was a charismatic character, full of spunk and attitude with a big heart.
"He was a much loved son, brother, grandchild, nephew and cousin."
Detective Superintendent Kerry Johnson said many families have now been impacted by Friday night's tragic events.
"We can't lose sight of the fact there is a deceased person and this is an absolutely tragic event for their family and we really feel for them," he said.
"There is also the ongoing thing of the persons that are now before the court, what this does to their families and obviously the damage it causes as well as the other guy that's in hospital recovering.
"You mightn't be the person who stabbed them, [that] doesn't mean that you're not necessarily responsible for the offence as well.
"It's probably a good warning for people out there, young people out there, that travel in groups."
A funeral for Jack Beasley will be held next week.
