Four teens, between 14 and 19 years old, have been charged over an alleged hours-long violent sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Sydney last year.
The horrific crime allegedly took place over six hours in Sydney’s west on December 15, 2024, in various locations in Liverpool, Sadleir and surrounding areas.
The girl was allegedly approached by an unknown 16-year-old male at a shopping centre in Liverpool at around 5:30pm.
Detective Superintendent Jayne Doherty, head of NSW Police’s sex crime squad, told 2GB’s Ben Fordham the boy was “friendly and chatty” when he first spoke to the alleged victim.
“They agreed just to sit and talk,” she said.
Police allege he followed the victim to her car and the girl reluctantly let him in, where he began sexually assaulting her.
“She was under a lot of duress,” Doherty said.

He then asked to be driven to Wheat Park in Sadlier, to which the victim agreed on the understanding he would get out of the car when they arrived. However, at the park, two other males got into the car who also allegedly sexually assaulted her.
A fourth man arrived in another vehicle, and the alleged sexual assault continued as the girl was driven around.
Six hours later at about 11.30pm, the girl was able to contact a friend after the males left her car. Her friend took her to Liverpool Police Station to report the incident.
The matter was referred to State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad who established Strike Force Dungannon to investigate.
Detective Superintendent Doherty told 2GB the alleged crimes were “the most serious sexual offences you can commit”.
“They’re in company, the degradation and the sexual acts they [allegedly] committed on this poor young girl in a pack, it’s horrific. It has even shocked my investigators,” Doherty said.
A male, a 16-year-old from Condell Park, was arrested on December 20 and charged with 24 offences including nine counts of sexual intercourse without consent, eight counts of aggravated sex assault — offender in company with other person/s, two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company and inflict actual bodily harm, and five counts of sexually touch another person without consent.
A second male, a 14-year-old from Miller, was charged with 10 offences including seven counts of aggravated sex assault — offender in company with other person/s, aggravated sexual assault in company and inflict actual bodily harm, aggravated sexually touch another person, and sexually touch another person without consent.
Both appeared at a children’s court on December 21, 2024 and were refused bail.

This week, two further arrests were made after detectives executed simultaneous search warrants in Heckenberg and Sadlier on Tuesday.
An 18-year-old in Sadlier was arrested and charged with nine counts of aggravated sex assault — offender in company with other person/s. He was refused bail and will appear before a children’s court on Wednesday.
At the Heckenberg arrest, police arrested a 19-year-old man who was charged with five counts of aggravated sex assault — offender in company with other person/s. He was refused bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday.
