Four teens arrested after group of school girls 'attacked' in Edinburgh

Four teenagers have been arrested after a group of school girls were allegedly attacked in Edinburgh.

The three girls were reportedly left with 'sickening facial injuries' following the incident in the Meadows at around 7pm on Sunday.

Now police have charged four teenage girls, including a 13-year-old, in connection with the assault.

All four youths aged, 13, 16, 16 and 17- years-old, will be reported through the appropriate youth justice process.

Police Scotland said: "We can confirm that four teenage girls have been charged in connection with an assault against three other girls in the Meadows around 7pm on Sunday, 20 March.

"All four will be reported through the appropriate youth justice process."
