Four teens arrested after alleged attack at Edinburgh Japanese restaurant

Cops have arrested four teens after two men were allegedly attacked in an Edinburgh restaurant.

Officers were called to reports of vandalism at the Maki & Ramen Japanese food bar and assaults on two men on Saturday afternoon.

A 16-year-old and 18-year-old are expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Two 14-year-olds will face the Children's Reporter.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to a report of a vandalism and two men being assaulted at a premises on Nicholson Street, Edinburgh, around 2.25pm on Saturday, 4 July, 2020.

"The men, both aged 33, suffered minor injuries. One was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

"Two males (aged 16 and 18) have been charged in connection and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.

"Two male youths (both aged 14) were also charged in connection with the incident and will be reported to the Children's Reporter."
