Four teenagers arrested after Class A drugs seized in Dundonald

Four teenagers have been arrested after Class A drugs were seized during a search operation on Saturday.

The drugs with an estimated street value of £1,500 were discovered by officers during a search of two vehicles in the Old Dundonald road area.

Police say a number of other drugs-related paraphernalia were also seized.

The four males, all aged 17 were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of a Class A controlled drug. They have since been released from custody, pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Kevin Hawkins said: "We are fully committed to tackling the scourge of drugs in our communities, and we will continue to proactively investigate and carry out searches linked to the drugs trade.

“I would appeal to anyone who can help us identify suspects or lines of enquiry to call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
