Four men have been charged in connection with a murder and Class A drugs conspiracy.
Details of the case are limited, but according to charges the men are suspected of conspiring to murder "unnamed individuals" between May 23 and June 16 this year.
The group are also charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine during the same period.
Vincent Coggins, 54; Paul Woodford, 55; Michael Earle, 44 and Edward Jarvis, 55, are all set to appear in Liverpool Magistrates' Court this morning.
Coggins, of The Spinney, Stockbridge Village; Woodford, of Marl Road, Aintree; Earle, of Wallace Drive, Huyton and Jarvis, of Breckside Park, Anfield, are all charged with conspiring with each other during the period on the charge sheet.
The charges are indictable only, meaning the case is set to be passed to the crown courts.
