Four-star safety Jordan Morant has Ohio State in final five schools

The recruiting cycle and news never ends at a place like Ohio State. Ryan Day and staff are busy still evaluating and offering players for the 2020 and 2021 classes, and what’s come from that are a litany of targets releasing their top or final school listings on Twitter.

Feel free to cringe old-timers and traditonalists, it’s how recruiting is done these days.

And on that note, we’ve got another Twitter announcement of the final five schools for a four-star safety prospect. Jordan Morant out of Oradell, New Jersey dropped his list Saturday and included Ohio State along with four other schools.

At 5-11, 212 lbs., Morant is rated as the No. 10 safety and No. 159 overall recruit in the 2020 class according to 247Sports. The other four schools Morant has in his final five are Alabama, Penn State, USC, Texas A&M — and yes — Michigan.

Of course the Buckeyes would love to land a kid of that caliber, but it might have to find a way to close the gap on Michigan right now. Many believe he’s leaning that way at the moment.

We probably won’t hear much from Morant for awhile, as he’s set his decision date for January 4. Of course we’ll have details is anything further surfaces until then.
