Four-star QB Kyle McCord commits to Ohio State

Over the past two weeks, the quarterback situation has been one of the more talked about subjects at Ohio State.

Well, the 2021 class doesn’t have to worry about that, as four-star quarterback Kyle McCord announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Buckeyes.

Offered back in January, the 6-foot-3 signal caller out of St. Joesph Prep in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania chose the Scarlet and Gray over Penn State, North Carolina, Michigan and others.

He threw for 2,883 yards and 38 touchdowns during his sophomore campaign, resulting in a Class 6A State Championship.

His commitment also helps the Buckeyes potentially further its chances to land standout receiver Marvin Harrison Jr, who is McCord’s teammate at St Joesph Prep. Harrison has already been gushing about Ohio State and seems enamored with the possibility of playing in Columbus.

McCord is the first quarterback commit of the 2021 class, and the second overall in the class of 2021 (Jack Sawyer, defensive end, Pickerington North High School).
