Four-star PG Jalen Terry de-commits from Michigan State

Crootin’.

Michigan State basketball recruiting took a hit this afternoon with the de-commitment of four-star point guard Jalen Terry. Terry is a class of 2020 prospect from Flint Beecher.

Terry is currently rated as the No. 10 point guard and No. 56 overall player in the class according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

There has been no word as to why Terry de-committed, but it could have something to do with Michigan State getting a commitment last week from AJ Hoggard, the No. 13 point guard in the class of 2020.

Michigan State now has an open spot in its 2020 class (and perhaps two) with Hoggard and four-star big man Maddy Sissoko as the two players committed.  MSU’s class in now ranked No. 18 in the country and No. 3 in the Big Ten.
