Four-star Ohio State QB commit Kyle McCord headed to Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge

It’s always fun to watch the future of Ohio State take part at a high level in the present. Current 4-star quarterback commit Kyle McCord has received an invitation to take part in the Rivals100 5-Star Competition June 24-26 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The 5-Star Competition is only by invite and is handed out to the so-called top 100 high school football players in the nation. It’s important to note that McCord is so-far just one of two underclassmen to be invited. Everyone else is a senior getting ready for college.

The 6-3, 204 pounder out of St. Joseph’s High School in Philadelphia is rated as the No. 8 pro-style quarterback and No. 118 overall recruit in the 2021 class according to 247Sports.

Based on this news and another year of seasoning, don’t be surprised if that ranking rises. After all, there’s a reason Ryan Day had McCord as one of his main targets for the class.
