Four-star Florida WR signee Arjei Henderson not eligible

This offseason just keeps getting worse for the Florida Gators football program.

In most recent news — four-star wide receiver signee Arjei Henderson, a member of the 2019 Gators signing class, will not be enrolling in classes at Florida. Per a report from Will Sammon of the Athletic, the elite wide receiver was not eligible to clear Florida admissions.

Henderson is the third Florida 2019 signee that has been unable to gain eligibility. Four-star linebacker Diwun Black and four-star offensive guard Deyavie Hammond were both members of the signing class, but first will have to attend junior college. Additionally, Florida is still waiting on four-star offensive tackle Wardrick Wilson from the Bahamas — still trying to sort out visa issues.

And then there’s the Chris Steele and Jalon Jones situation. The four-star cornerback and quarterback both were members of the 2019 class, enrolled early and transferred after just one semester.

Coming out of Richmond, Texas, Henderson ranked as the nation’s 140th overall player and 23rd ranked wide receiver.

We wish him well.
