Four-star basketball prospect Puff Johnson includes Ohio State in top-seven

Puff Johnson, a top fifty 4-star small forward for the 2020 class, has included Ohio State in his top-seven schools.

On top of being the No. 49 prospect, Donavon “Puff” Johnson has length at 6-foot-7, making him a coveted prospect. He is from Moon Area High School and grew up in the next state over in Coraopolis, PA.

Per the Tucson, an Arizona Wildcat-focused website, Johnson was highly considering reclassifying to become a part of the Class of 2019 yet found difficulty in the process, so he’s sticking with his original classification.

Eleven Warriors’ reporter Colin Hass-Hill also reported Johnson’s top-seven schools. These seven also include UNC, Arizona, Notre Dame, Pitt, Miami (FL), and Louisville.

247 Sports Crystal Ball Prediction doesn’t have Ohio State anywhere close to landing the forward although included in the forward’s top-seven, but those are sometimes behind. It has Arizona as the heavy favorite and UNC with the second-best odds.

Without any 2020 commits yet, Ohio State would be thrilled if Johnson decided to stay relatively close to home and play in Columbus in 2020. As things progress, we’ll keep an eye on it.
