Thomas Cook is closing four of its stores in Scotland and cutting jobs as increasing numbers of customers switch to booking holidays online.
The company is closing a total of 21 stores across the UK to reduce its number to 566. The move will lead to 102 redundancies with a further 218 jobs across the remaining stores also under threat following a review of the retail workforce. A consultation process with the affected staff and their union representatives has begun.

The Scottish stores affected are Aberdeen Langstane, Cumbernauld, Glenrothes and Kirkintilloch.
Thomas Cook said more and more holidaymakers are switching online, accounting for 64% of all its bookings in the UK last year. It revealed last month it was considering selling its airline to raise cash.
