Cops are hunting thugs after four people were left in hospital following two 'separate and unrelated' attacks in a Glasgow street on the same day.
One of the incidents happened on Saracen Street at its junction with Bardowie Street on Saturday, October 30, at 2.45pm.
A 39-year-old man was seriously assaulted by three men who were seen getting out of a Black Range Rover Evoque before the attack.
The man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a head injury.
Investigating Officer lasgow Royal Infirmary Constable Kevin Ford said: “This incident happened in the middle of Saturday afternoon when the area was relatively busy.
“I’m very keen to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have information that could assist us with our enquiries.
“The three men suspected of committing this assault have been described as wearing black clothing, two were of slim to medium build and one was an older, heavier built man.
"They were seen to get out of a Black Range Rover Evoque just prior to the incident. The victim sustained an injury to his head and was treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Saracen Street and Bardowie Street on Saturday afternoon to think back and remember if they saw this vehicle and if they can recall its registration number or any of its occupants.
“Also, if anyone has any dash cam or CCTV footage of the area at around 2.45pm on Saturday afternoon, I would also ask them to get in touch.”
Another attack had happened on the same street on Saturday in the early hours, between around 4-5am.
Three people were assaulted by three men who arrived just before the incident in a taxi.
The victims, a 39-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, were seriously assaulted and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their injuries.
Detective Constable Ford added: “Although this incident took place in the early hours, if anyone in local area witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage, I would ask them to contact police.
“I would like to stress that we believe these two incidents to be unrelated, isolated and with no wider threat to the public or local community. “
