Four players who would solve Frank Lampard's Chelsea dilemma when the transfer window reopens

Frank Lampard, in his first year as Chelsea boss, has managed to maintain a Champions League push despite the loss of Belgian superstar Eden Hazard.

Part of the former Chelsea midfielder’s success has been the form of 22-year-old striker Tammy Abraham.

Having netted 13 goals in 25 appearances, the England international has been key in firing the Blues to a top-four place.

Lampard, however, will be looking for more firepower next season. Here are four strikers that have been hitting all the right numbers.

The versatile German has put up numbers that would suggest it is a no-brainer for Chelsea to buy him.

A total of 21 goals this season alongside 7 assists, the 24-year-old represents 45% of the goals RB Leipzig have scored this season in their title battle with Bayern Munich.

Away from the league, Werner has also shifted 4 goals in 8 appearances in the Champions League, something that would be important if the forward was to join the Blues this summer.

Having joined Monaco from Sevilla in the summer, Ben Yedder has been a key signing having scored 18 goals and grabbed four assists this term.

Only a certain Kylian Mbappe poses a greater goal contribution having assisted one more goal than his fellow countryman.

The Monaco forward’s return represents 56% of his team's goals, proving his importance this season. Seventy goals in 138 appearances for his former side Sevilla suggests the 29-year-old knows how to find the back of the net.

If goals are what Chelsea need, he could be a contender.

Ciro Immobile - Lazio

Currently the top goalscorer in Europe, the Italian is enjoying yet another high scoring season.

This term he has a 34 goal contribution including seven assists alongside 27 goals in the league.

Such form has seen him score more than Crirstiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku in Serie A, while providing 56% of his teams goals.

At 30-years of age, Immobile may be in a higher age bracket than Lampard would like, but he could be a solution to Chelsea’s goal scoring dilemma.

Moussa Dembele - Lyon

The 23-year-old has shown he can keep pace with the best in Ligue 1, notching 16 goals and two assists from his 27 appearances this term in the league.

He has 42% of Lyon’s goals and they have been pivotal in their push for European football next season.

Having been heavily linked with Chelsea in January, the French star would provide great competition for Abraham should the Blues follow up with a serious bid in the summer.

Both strikers are still young and could potentially push each other to claim the number one striker spot for Chelsea.
