Four players ruled out as Manchester United confirm team news vs Wolves

Manchester United will be without four players for their match against Wolves this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will be looking to return to winning ways on Sunday afternoon after they dropped points away at Southampton a week ago.

United are unbeaten in their last 27 Premier League away games and if they avoid defeat at Molineux they will set a new record for longest unbeaten away run in English Football League history.

However, they will have to do so without a number of key players after Solskjaer confirmed the early team news at his weekly press conference on Friday.

Scotland international Scott McTominay is out after undergoing groin surgery, while Dean Henderson, Alex Telles and Marcus Rashford are also absent.

"We’re still missing Scott, who had surgery this week," Solskjaer told reporters. "Marcus, Alex, Dean Henderson, they’re not ready. But, apart from that, we have a fit squad ready to fight for points.

"Scott has had surgery and he couldn’t carry on. We tried to manage it and get him through without surgery but we couldn’t and, in the end, it was too sore for him. By the end of the Southampton game, when he came in, that was the decision."

It isn't all bad news though with Solskjaer confirming that summer signing Raphael Varane is settling in well ahead of a potential debut for the club.

He added: "He’s had a couple of weeks of good training and he’s looking ever as impressive as a person, as a player, he’s got class he will fit in at Man United definitely. I think we’ve signed a top player at the right time."
