Two people have been arrested after a stolen car crashed into two other vehicles in Adelaide's north-east on Thursday afternoon.
Police spotted a black Toyota Prado with unassigned plates on Oxford Street in Hillcrest around 2:30pm, but the driver refused to stop.
A few seconds later, the Prado, reported stolen from Norwood on November 17, crashed into a Mazda sedan and a Mazda station wagon at the intersection of Patricia Avenue and North East Road.
The alleged driver of the Prado was taken into custody but the passenger ran off and was chased by members of the public, who held him on a nearby street until police arrived.
The alleged driver, a 39-year-old Edwardstown woman, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with injuries from the crash.
Three people in the other vehicles were also taken to hospital as a precaution after suffering minor injuries.
The passenger, a 40-year-old Taperoo man, and the Edwardstown woman were both arrested and charged with illegal use.
Police said the woman would also be charged with engage in police pursuit, cause injury by dangerous driving, drive disqualified, drive with unassigned plates, and drug driving.
Police said both people would be refused police bail and would appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Traffic was blocked on North East Road while emergency services attended the scene, and all three vehicles were towed.
