The group of suspects then ran away from the area. Officers said that enquiries are ongoing to find them with CCTV and witness investigations.

Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: "This was a large-scale fight that has left four people injured. The incident occurred when the venue was busy, so we believe it would have been witnessed.

"If you saw what happened, or similarly if you have any information about this incident, please get in touch. If you were driving past at the time and have dashcam footage, please review it to see if you captured anything.

"We will not tolerate this type of behaviour in our community and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can direct message @MerPolCC on Twitter, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook or call 101 quoting reference 23000533844 or contact @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111."
