Four people in Dublin spotted singing classic The Simpsons barbershop song 'baby on board' at northside street corner

Anyone who grew up watching The Simpsons will all agree that the earlier seasons were the best.

And, when you're talking about the best episodes of that area, 'Homer's Barbershop Quartet' is hard to beat.

It follows the journey of Homer's band, made up of Principal Skinner, Apu and Barney and him.

Their rise to fame mirrors the success of The Beatles, and even guest stars George Harrison who scoffs in a passing car that "it's been done before" when The Be Sharps decide to play on the roof of a building in Springfield.

The band were destined for everlasting stardom, until Barney falls in love with a girl resembling Yoko Ono which ultimately leads to the band's split.

But the song that started the whole thing off for The Be Sharps was a tune called 'Baby on Board'.

It has a melody that you can immediately recognise so it's no surprise that Skerries man, Rob O'Hanrahan whipped out his phone and hit the record button when the music started to travel through the June air on Wednesday.

The four people were spotted hanging around at Pipers Corner on Marlborough street belting out the a cappella version of the barbershop banger.

And just in case you have somehow forgotten the lyrics, you can sing along using the words below.

It goes: "Baby on board. How I've adored, that sign on my car's windowpane.

"Bounce in my step, Loaded with pep, 'Cause I'm drivin' in the carpool lane.

"Call me a square, friend I don't care, 'Cause that little yellow sign can't be ignored.

"I'm telling you it's mighty nice. Each trip's a trip to paradise. With my baby on board."
