Four people 'ghost hunting' in Swansea fined for breaching coronavirus rules

Four people who told police they had travelled to Swansea for a "ghost hunt" have been fined for coronavirus breaches.

South Wales Police said that they stopped a car in Mumbles in the early hours of Friday (March 5).

A social media post said that the occupants of the car told officers they had come to the city for a ghost hunt and to "view castles".

They had travelled 50 miles from Cwmbran.

Level 4 restrictions in Wales that have been in place since December 20 state that only essential travel is allowed and any exercise must begin and end from home.

The social media post added that the four had given fixed penalties for Covid breaches.

The driver also had no insurance and only had a provisional licence.

The officers added: "Car seized and long walk home!"

Even with the current measures having been in place for more than two months, police forces in Wales have still been dealing with, and issuing fines for, a variety of breaches.

From customers fleeing a hair and beauty salon to a party in a garden shed, and even people travelling from England to take photographs of shoes on a mountain. Read some the most ridiculous breaches here.
