Four people arrested after slash attack on man in Kirkby neighborhood

A total of four people are now under arrest after an incident in Kirkby in which a man was slashed multiple times to the face, head and hands.

Emergency services were called to Morston Avenue at 5pm yesterday after a man in his 20s was found with multiple slash wounds.

It is believed the victim was bleeding heavily as paramedics arrived at the scene.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital for assessment of his injuries, and is in a stable condition.

Neighbours told the ECHO they heard loud screaming in the neighbourhood after police and paramedics arrived at the scene.

Police today confirmed a 19-year-old man from Kirkby was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following enquiries last night, and was taken to a police station for questioning.

A 43-year-old woman from Kirkby was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of ammunition after a search.

A 20-year-old man from Kirkby arrested on suspicion of wounding, and a 45-year-old woman from Kirkby arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remain in custody for questioning.
