Four men have been charged in connection with an attempted murder near Inverness .
A man and a were left woman seriously injured after the incident at a property in Orchard Park, Beauly at about 5.20am on Sunday.
Police Scotland confirmed that the man's injuries were considered to be life-threatening.
Four men - aged aged 50, 48, 24 and 18 - will appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.
Det Insp Eddie Ross said: "This was a contained incident and our inquiries continue.
"I would like to thank members of the local community for their continued assistance with our enquiries."
