Four of six stolen dogs recovered uninjured and healthy by Gardai in Meath but fears grow over safety of the others

Four out of six stolen dogs have been recovered "healthy and uninjured" by Gardai but fears are growing over the safety of the other two who are still missing.

Gardai recovered the animals on foot of a search warrant as part of an intelligence led operation in Meath on Friday.

They confirmed that all recovered dogs have received healthy veterinary assessments and thankfully are uninjured and healthy but they are still investigating to find the whereabouts of the other two mutts.

Three of the recovered dogs have returned to their owners who were wagging their tails at the thought of being reunited.

But Gardai are still looking for the owner of the little black and brown terrier who is currently being cared for by Gardai in Clonmel.

If anyone has any information please contact Navan Garda Station on 046 907 9930, Clonmel Garda Station on 052 617 7640 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
