Four new charging points for electric cars available across West Lothian

More charging points for electric vehicles are now available in West Lothian.

Four new charging units are now in place including two rapid charging points with one each located at Bathgate Partnership Centre and Linlithgow Sports Cub (just off Edinburgh Road) and two standard chargers based at Polkemmet Country Park.

The new units are the result of an ongoing West Lothian Council project with Transport Scotland who have provided funding towards the work and contractors Swarco, to increase the capacity for electric vehicle charging in West Lothian.

Work is also underway to complete installations at Strathbrock Partnership Centre (Broxburn) and Morris Square (Livingston). Once complete, West Lothian Council will operate 21 charge points.

Executive councillor for the environment, Tom Conn said: “We welcome the introduction of further electric vehicle charging points in West Lothian.”
