A four-month-old baby was saved by an officer after being stranded in a locked hot car in Texas.
Bodycam footage shared by Bexar County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday (2 July) shows an officer smashing through the window of a vehicle with a baton, before successfully retrieving the infant. No injuries were reported.
Sharing the footage, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar warned people that a “parked vehicle can become dangerously hot in just minutes, even with the windows cracked”.
The force also revealed that they recently attempted to save a dog left inside a parked car, but were unsuccessful, and the dog died.
