A suspected stolen car has been seized after a high-speed chase through Bootle this morning.
Park Lane is shut both ways due to what travel monitors INRIX describe as "a police incident" by Bailey Drive and Orrell Road, close to Bootle Cemetery.
Merseyside Police confirms a man has been arrested.

At around 11.15am a suspected stolen Audi S3 on East Lancs Road, Norris Green was spotted travelling at speed.
Police chased the car drove towards Bootle, where it was collided with vehicles on Hawthorne Road, causing damage but no injuries.
The car was brought to a stop nearby and a man was detained at the junction of Menai Road and Watts Lane.
He will be assessed at hospital as a precaution before being taken to custody on suspicion of aggravated Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle (UTMV); failing to stop and disqualified driving.
