Four men stabbed in 'shocking' late night city centre brawl

Four young men were stabbed in a large scale "shocking" brawl in the city centre last night.

The men, aged 24, 25, 28 and 30, were rushed to hospital for treatment for stab wounds after police and paramedics were called to reports of a "large scale fight" outside the Truth Lounge, on Myrtle Street, at about 1.20am.

One of the men is still in hospital after he suffered a serious wound to his abdomen.

The other injured men suffered minor injuries.

No arrests were made, but the force said the suspected offender is believed to have left the scene in the direction of Catherine Street.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "The offender is believed to have left in a light-coloured vehicle in the direction of Catherine Street.

Detective Inspector Barbara Hebden said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries and appealing for anyone who has any information on this incident to please get in touch.

“We know the Truth Lounge and surrounding area was busy at the time and a number of people would’ve witnessed the incident, and it’s incredibly important that those people come forward so we can piece together what happened.

"Likewise, if you recognise the description of the offender, or have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, please let us know.
