Four men charged with murder after Leicester stabbing

Four men have been charged with murder after a 24-year-old man died in Leicester.

Arad Niakan died after being stabbed in De Montfort Place, off London Road, on Wednesday.

Talha Satar, 21, of Stoughton Street South, Spinney Hills, Said Mahamed, 20, of Sparkenhoe Street, Spinney Hills, Husni Benramadan, 19, and Yousouf Khan, 18, both of no fixed abode, have been charged with murder, said Leicestershire Police.

All four have also been charged with having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence and one count of possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.

They are scheduled to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday, along with Kassam Tarmahoomed, 21, of Osmaston Road, Stoneygate, who has been charged with assisting an offender.

Leicestershire Police said a 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released.

Two men, both 52, and two 43-year-old women have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
