Four men charged after Darren Brownlie found dead in his cell at Low Moss Prison

Four men have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a prisoner inside a Scottish jail.

Prison bosses called Police Scotland officers to HMP Low Moss Prison in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire, after 47-year-old Darren Brownlie was found dead in his cell on Monday, January 6, 2020.

Four men aged 26, 30, 30 and 33 have now been arrested and charged in the wake of the death at the prison.

They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 29 January, 2020.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
