Four armed men break into Chryston home and threaten occupants

FOUR men threatened people in their own home with weapons before fleeing with a “four-figure” sum of cash during a terrifying robbery in Chryston.

The quartet of unidentified culprits entered the Grayston Manor property at around 7.50pm last night.

Thankfully, no-one was hurt during the worrying incident, but the victims were left “quite shaken”.

The robbers are believed to have travelled in a burgundy Citroen Picasso which was later recovered by police officers.

Detective Sergeant Lorraine Wilson, of Lanarkshire CID, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for those involved, who although not physically hurt, have been left quite shaken.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and may have noticed anything suspicious to please contact police.

“I would also ask anyone who may have seen a car matching the description in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.”

Anyone with information can call police via 101, quoting incident 3047 of February 18; alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
