Four men arrested in connection with murder of Dublin gangster Robbie Lawlor

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the murder of notorious Dublin gangster Robbie Lawlor.

The dad-of-three was gunned down outside a house at Etna Street in the Ardoyne area of Belfast on Saturday.

It is believed that he was intent on "either killing someone or hammering someone for money" when his killer struck, Dublin Live reports.

He was blasted several times and was pronounced dead at the scene. It was confirmed last night that three men had been arrested.

And now a fourth man has been detained in relation to the brutal killing.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A fourth male has been arrested by Major Investigation Team detectives investigating the murder of a man in Etna Drive in north Belfast yesterday. All four suspects remain in custody this morning."

The 35-year-old was one of the prime suspects in the gruesome death of Co Louth teenager Keane Mulready-Woods, whose body was found dismembered in Dublin.

The tragic teen's body parts were scattered around north Dublin after he murdered in December.

The notorious criminal had been released from custody after being cleared of attempting to murder his ex's mother in law.

He had 124 previous convictions.
