Four men aged between 20 and 40 have been arrested in relation to a string of recent burglaries and robberies.

They all happened in Co Kildare throughout the month of November, with the most recent burglary called in on Monday afternoon.

Gardai responded to reports of breaking and entering in Newbridge in broad daylight at 3.45 pm.

After arriving on the scene, two men in their 30s and 40s were arrested by officers who, in a follow-up search, took two other people into custody that were both in their twenties.

All of the arrests are reportedly attached to a number of robberies and burglaries in several areas around Co Kildare.

An official statement explained: “Gardai have arrested four men in relation to a number of incidents of burglary and robbery in Co Kildare, in November 2021.
