Four men arrested and charged following death of Darren Brownlie in Low Moss Prison

Four men have been arrested and charged following the death of an inmate at Low Moss Prison earlier this month.

Darren Brownlie, 47, was found dead in his cell on Monday, January 6, launching a Police Scotland inquiry.

The prison was reportedly put on lock down following the discovery as officers were called to the premises.

Four men, aged 26, 30, 30 and 33 years old, have now been arrested and charged in connection with his death within the prison.

They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 29 January, 2020.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
