Four men arrested after teenager stabbed on bus in Withington

Four men have been arrested after a teenager was stabbed on a bus.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Mauldeth Road West, in Withington, at around 9.20pm on Wednesday, March 4.

When officers arrived to the scene they discovered a 19-year-old man suffering with a leg injury.

A police spokeswoman said he was taken to hospital with a 'superficial' injury.

Four men have been arrested and remain in custody for questioning.

Police continue to investigate.

A statement from Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 9.20pm on Wednesday, March 4, police were called to reports of a stabbing on a bus on Mauldeth Road West.

"Officers found a 19-year-old man with a leg injury.

"He was taken to hospital with what has been described as a superficial injury.

"Four men have been arrested. An investigation is underway."
